The Bertram 30 is an iconic American boat designed originally to take on the European powerboats of the 60s the Ray Hunt Designed Bertram “Moppie” won the 1961 Miami to Nassau race and went on to win the 200 mile Cowes – Torquay - Cowes powerboat race in 1963 taking on the Alan Burnard Fairey Huntsman and other designers of the era such as Sonny Levi and Don Shead.With her Quality construction and a Deep Vee hull she is fast, versatile and comfortable a true classic motor boat. Bertie was built in 1963 and came 4th overall in the Cowes to Torquay powerboat race that year! she is in excellent condition having been re engined in 2000 with twin Perkins SABRE 225Ti engines. These were then bench restored and upgraded both mechanically and elecrically 2019 -22 under the current ownership. Bertie originally known as DAMIAN III was 4th overall in a field of 53 and won the Royal Yacht Squadron Trophy for the first Class I Production Boat
